Sat Mar 25, 2: I’m thinking about getting one anyway so that I don’t have to ever worry about 5C channels and can record HD movies off the premium channels, VOD, etc. All times are GMT The DCT should show up. I think it’s an intel chip, but not sure.

I powered up the box didn’t activate it or plug in the cable feed yet and my Mac recognizes the DCT when I connect over firewire.

All SD and HD channels including premium work. I had a very hard time making the channel changing work through firewire I don’t use firewire for recording, just channel changing.
The box accepts all Firewire commands, but does fkrewire with most of them, so you need an IR blaster for power and channel changing. I had to modify ch to work with it, I also added the option to power it on and off. Try that and see if that makes any difference.
